TEHRAN The Iranian Athletics Federation announced here on Tuesday evening that the record of 110 meters hurdles was broken in the third round of Iranian Clubs' Track-and-Field Championships held in Shahid Mottaqi Stadium, Sari, in the Caspian Province of Mazandaran.

Rouhollah Asgari improved his own and Mohammad Mashhadi-Yari's record by 0.02 second, clocking 14.44 seconds.

Also, Mahdi Zarei set a new record in 5,000 meters of clubs' league, said IRNA.

Zarei improved Ja'far Babakhani's record by 13 seconds after clocking 14 minutes and 24.90 seconds.
